Parking Privileges

When a vehicle displays a valid Disabled Person (DP) parking placard or license plate or Disabled Veteran (DV) license plate, people with disabilities and disabled veterans are allowed to park in the following areas:

International Symbol of Access
International Symbol of Access
You can park in spaces with the International Symbol of Access or wheel chair symbol.
Blue Curb
Blue curb is parking for persons with disabilities
This parking is reserved only for vehicles displaying a valid DP placard, DP license plate, or DV license plate.
Green Green
Green curb is for short-term parking

You can park here for unlimited time.
Parking MeterYou can park here at no charge and for unlimited time.
Resident and Merchant Permit ParkingYou can park here for unlimited time.


Parking Restrictions

A DP placard or license plate or DV license plate does NOT exempt the vehicle from all other citation and/or tow-away rules and restrictions. No vehicle can park more than 72 hours in any space or during street sweeping hours.

Even if they have a valid Disabled Person parking placard or license plate or Disabled Veteran license plate, people with disabilities or disabled veterans MAY NOT PARK in the following areas:

Crosshatched or Striped AreasYou can not park in spaces with a striped or crosshatched pattern.
Red Curb
No parking at red curbs
You cannot stop, idle, or park your car.
Yellow Curb, Split Loading Zones
Yellow curb is for commercial loading
These areas are reserved for commercial vehicles when commercial loading hours are in effect.
White Curb
White curb is for passenger loading
These areas are reserved for picking up and dropping off passengers.
