Environmental impacts of the policies, programs and actions contained in the Draft Downtown Oakland Specific Plan have been analyzed in the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR). The City is requesting comments on the sufficiency of the EIR in discussing possible impacts on the physical environment, ways in which the potential adverse effects might be minimized and alternatives to the project in light of the EIR’s purpose to provide useful and accurate information about such factors.
The City is requesting comments on the Draft EIR at the following two public hearings:
- September 23 Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board, 6pm, Council Chambers, City Hall
- October 2 Planning Commission, 6pm, Council Chambers, City Hall
The 45-day comment period to review the Draft EIR for the Downtown Oakland Specific Plan extends from August 30 to October 22.
