The Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program provides grants on a formula basis to entitled cities and counties to develop viable urban communities. These grants are provided on a bi-annual basis to the City of Oakland. More information about CDBG in Oakland can be found here.
Each Council district establishes a board to determine how those funds will be used in accordance with its own set of priorities, as well as priorities set by the City of Oakland.
The District 1 Board Members are:

District 1’s CDBG board members will meet via conference call to discuss its grant funding recommendations on Sunday, June 7th at 3:00 p.m. (see documents linked below). Please join this meeting to give your input. Information on how to participate is included in the Agenda.
