Kyle Trambley

I joined the EMSD team in 2021 after working 10 years working for public and non-profit disaster response organizations – the East Bay is my home, so it is wonderful getting to bring my experience and education back to the community I love. Emergency Management became a passion for me after responding to the 2010 Earthquake in Haiti, where I arrived as a volunteer, but shortly began managing debris removal and demolition operations for a small non-governmental organization. After that, I worked to professionalize my career with additional deployments around the nation and world and through a master’s degree in emergency and disaster management.

My position with EMSD manages our community engagement and CORE programs, develops and coordinates City participation in exercises, and works to build a robust training platform for the City of Oakland.
