If a business experienced a loss of merchandise, they are asked to complete a supplemental online report to document the theft or call (510) 777-3333 to file a report.
Do you have video footage or still images that might help identify the individuals who committed vandalism and/or robbed your business or a neighboring business? This is important evidence.
Business owners are asked to share footage and images with the Oakland Police Department (OPD). Send an email to BusinessCrimes@oaklandca.gov. Be sure to include:
A crime scene technician will coordinate retrieval of the video footage upon receipt of your email.
Additionally, please register your security camera with OPD through their Camera Registry Program. Recordings at the time of recent or future incidents may provide useful information, such as a getaway car or the direction that a person of interest was headed.
