We were shocked by the violent acts that unfolded as an unlawful mob took over the US Capitol Building yesterday, while legislators were certifying the election. These actions were a disgraceful assault on our democracy and we condemn these violent acts.

On January 1, 2021, at about 12:59 AM, the Oakland Police Department responded to the 4100 block of Santa Rita Street for a shooting that had just occurred.

On November 3, 2020, the Oakland Police Department was involved in an officer-involved shooting in the 1400 block of 92nd Avenue.
