The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is releasing this video in hopes the community can help identify an individual wanted in connection with a fatal hit and run. The incident occurred on June 16, 2022, just before 8:30 pm, at the intersection of 14th Street and Jefferson Street.

Mayor Libby Schaaf and the Selection Panel for the Police Commission announced the opening of the application process to serve on the Oakland Police Commission. The Selection Panel will seek to make appointments that reflect Oaklanders’ diversity of experiences, especially individuals from communities experiencing the most frequent contact with the police.
