The Oakland Police Department (OPD) continues to address violent crime in an effort to make the city of Oakland a safer community. In less than 24 hours, the Ceasefire Division made seven arrests and recovered five firearms.

The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating a shooting with several people injured. The incident occurred just after 12:45 PM when OPD’s Communications Division received multiple calls of a shooting in the 8200 block of Fontaine Street, near the King Estate school campus.

OPD News Release

The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is seeing an uptick in robberies of individuals at ATMs over the past month.

In several of the robberies, the victim completed their transaction at the ATM and was walking away when they were confronted. The armed individuals then rob the victims of their personal property and leave the area on foot or by vehicle.
