The event will also showcase the valuable work of the recipients of Reducing Consumption of Sugar-Sweetened Beverages (SSB) Community Grants Program. The SSB Community Grant recipients will offer engaging activities, giveaways, and interactive experiences for the public to enjoy.
The Community Health Fair is an opportunity for community members to learn about the work these organizations are doing to combat the negative effects of SSBs and to take action to improve their own health.
The Community Health Fair is made possible thanks to Oakland's Measure HH Sugar-Sweetened Beverage Tax, which funds community programs aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles and reducing the risks of chronic diseases.
