The Oakland Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on August 14, 2021, just after 4:15 AM, in the 350 block of West MacArthur Boulevard. Officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a shooting.
Officers arrived on the scene and located a male with a gunshot wound(s). Officers administered aid to the victim until medical assistance arrived on the scene. Oakland Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and provided medical treatment. Unfortunately, the victim died at the scene.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to take over the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death. The victim is a male adult, but his identity is currently unknown.
