On March 24, 2021, 2:25 AM, Oakland Police Department (OPD) Patrol Officers responded to 2200 E.12th Street for a report of a shooting. OPD Patrol officers located a male victim (non-Oakland resident) with multiple gunshot wounds.
Oakland Fire Department personnel and Falck ambulance crew responded to the scene and provided medical treatment. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to take over the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
