On February 25, 2021, at 10:43 p.m., Oakland police officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of 102nd Avenue to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive male adult (Oakland resident) suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s).
Oakland Fire Department personnel and Falck ambulance arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to the next of kin.
