Oakland, CA — The Oakland Police Department requests assistance from the media and the community in identifying homicide suspects. Investigators have released photos of the two individuals they believe are connected to a homicide that occurred on August 1, 2020, at 2:50 PM, in the 2200 block of 35th Avenue. The suspects are pictured above.
BACKGROUND:
On August 1, 2020, at about 2:50 PM, Oakland Police Officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of 35th Avenue to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers located an unresponsive male adult (Oakland resident) suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers attempted life-saving measures, unfortunately, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second male (Oakland resident) victim self-transported to a local hospital. He was listed in critical condition.
