Oakland, CA — The Oakland Police Department requests assistance from the media and the community in identifying the below vehicle. Investigators have identified a vehicle of interest in connection with a homicide that occurred on August 14, 2020, at about 3:29 PM, in the 10900 block of Beverly Avenue.
BACKGROUND:
On August 14, 2020, at approximately 3:29 PM, the Communications Division received reports of gunshots in the 10900 block of Beverly Avenue. Oakland police officers, as well as San Leandro police officers, responded to the scene and located the victim, 18-year-old Davaun McNeal suffering from a gunshot wound. McNeal was treated by medical personnel at the scene and transported to a local hospital for treatment. McNeal was listed in critical condition. Unfortunately, on August 15, 2020, McNeal succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Investigators identified the above vehicle of interest in connection to this active homicide case.
