On August 23, 2020, at approximately 12:24 am, the Oakland Police Department responded to the 2500 block of 99th Avenue on reports of a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located two male subjects, one from Stockton and the other a San Leandro resident, suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims was pronounced deceased on scene and the second victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
