January 2020 Howard Terminal Community Meetings

Oakland community members and stakeholders are invited to attend upcoming community meetings about the anticipated Oakland A's Howard Terminal proposal.

OAKLAND A'S HOWARD TERMINAL TRANSPORTATION PLAN WORKSHOPS

OakDOT is hosting three workshops at which community members can learn about the transportation plan for the anticipated Oakland A's Howard Terminal proposal and provide feedback to be incorporated throughout the transportation plan's development. The workshops will be open house style to allow attendees to stay for as long as your schedules allow. The workshops will feature stations by transportation mode, and attendees can visit all stations or simply visit the stations that are of specific interest.

Workshop materials will be available in English, Spanish, and Chinese. To request materials in other languages, and to request accommodations such as disability-related accommodations or childcare, please contact Veronica Cummings, Stakeholder Engagement Lead, at vcummings@oaklandca.gov. Please provide at least 72-business hours in advance for accommodation requests.

The Howard Terminal Community Benefits Agreement Participant Orientation is the official launch of the CBA process.

The orientation begins with an equity presentation by the City of Oakland's Department of Race and Equity Director Darlene Flynn, to provide a foundation for the equity-centered development of the Howard Terminal CBA. Participants will also break into CBA topic groups and begin to identify the benefits that may be considered in the CBA.

This orientation is mandatory for participants who wish to be involved in the development and adoption of the Howard Terminal Community Benefits Agreement, which will be included as a component of the overall project approval process.
