The Howard Terminal proposal will include a Community Benefits Agreement (CBA), which will be developed collaboratively by a Steering Committee that will be comprised of Oakland community members and stakeholders, with membership prioritization given to community members who are within the closest proximity of the proposed ballpark site.
The Howard Terminal CBA will be the first in the country to use a race and equity focus, and metrics will be designed to remove obstacles and barriers that Oakland residents and stakeholders experience that prevent them from achieving economic security and other quality of life indicators.
Oakland residents who are interested in learning about the Steering Committee and who may be interested in joining the Steering Committee are invited to attend an information session to learn about the criteria and time commitment.
