Oakland, CA – PG&E just informed the City of Oakland that its de-energize schedule has changed due to changing weather conditions. They now estimate that the power shutoff in Alameda County and Oakland will begin at 8 pm this evening, as forecast models now show that the high winds will arrive later than originally predicted. PG&E still anticipates that the power shutdown will end at 12 noon on Thursday, and the repowering process will begin shortly thereafter.

PG&E’s Customer Support Center at Merritt College, 12500 Campus Drive, Lot B, will remain open as scheduled until 8 pm. The Center will provide an air-conditioned space where residents can charge devices.
