Oakland, CA – Mayor Libby Schaaf has issued a letter of support for the “Keeping Families Together Act (s. 3036),” strongly urging members of the U.S. Senate to cosponsor this essential piece of legislation.
“Such a ruthless, heartless, and ill-conceived change in policy is what one would expect from an authoritarian regime, not the nation that I love and respect. It does not reflect the sentiment of the people of this great land or the values of Oakland and for all which we stand,” Mayor Schaaf said.
