Charlotte Hill is a political scientist at UC Berkeley, where she researches the impact of electoral and voting reforms on political participation. She regularly advises organizations focused on improving democracy policy and increasing voter turnout. Before entering academia, Dr. Hill held senior communications roles for the nonpartisan political reform organization RepresentUs and the international petition platform Change.org. She recently served as the vice president of the San Francisco Elections Commission, where she helped oversee local election administration.
Dr. Hill grew up in Northern California and has lived in the Bay Area since 2006. She holds a BA, an MPP, and a PhD in Public Policy from UC Berkeley.
