Christopher Ragland

Chris serves as the Planning & Building Department's Chief Building Official. He has served as a Building Official in Marin County, Oregon, and Idaho. He has more than 28 years of experience in the construction and building industry, both as an owner of a private construction company and in public service as an Inspector, Plans Examiner, Building Official, and Deputy Director of Community Development. Chris spent his childhood on the Presidio in San Francisco and attended college in Western Idaho and Boise State University. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the great outdoors, experiencing the performing arts, and supporting social justice activities and spiritually-centered programs.
