Missing person Edwin Roldan

The Oakland Police Department is requesting assistance from the media and the public in locating missing person Mr. Edwin Roldan.

Mr. Roldan was last seen at his family’s residence on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at 7:00 PM, which is located in the 1600 block of 85th Avenue. Mr. Roldan has not been seen or heard of since.

On April 7th, 2021, at approximately 8:57 PM the Communications Division received reports of a shooting in the 1100 block of 77th Avenue. Officers responded to the scene and located a female adult victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The Oakland Police Department made an arrest in the homicide that occurred in the 2400 block of E. 24th Street on April 6th. The case will be presented to the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. This is an ongoing investigation no further details will be released at this time.

On March 30, 2021, the Antioch Police Department requested assistance from the Oakland Police Department in apprehending two suspects who were wanted for murder in Antioch. Both suspects are believed to be connected to numerous shootings in Oakland.

On March 28, 2021, there was illegal sideshow activity in the City of Oakland. The Oakland Police Department allocated dedicated resources to focus on deterring, enforcing and responding to illegal sideshow activity with permission from the City Administrator.

At its height, 200-300 vehicles drove throughout East Oakland looking for an intersection to take over. The group was unsuccessful as officers on the ground, in OPD’s Police Helicopter (ARGUS), and outside law enforcement agencies prevented this from happening.

On March 24, 2021, 2:25 AM, Oakland Police Department (OPD) Patrol Officers responded to 2200 E.12th Street for a report of a shooting. OPD Patrol officers located a male victim (non-Oakland resident) with multiple gunshot wounds.

On March 21, 2021, at approximately 6:33 PM, the Communications Division received reports of a possible shooting and vehicle accident that occurred in the 7500 block of Holly Street. Officers responded to the scene and located an adult male victim, 28 years old, suffering from a gunshot wound.
