ILLEGAL CASINO BUSTED BY OPD
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating an illegal casino operation in the 2300 block of East 16th Street. On July 5, 2023, OPD Community Resource Officers (CRO) 3 and Officers assigned to the Violent Crime Operations Center (VCOC) and Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at the illegal establishment.
Officers recovered three firearms, including an assault rifle with multiple extended magazines, ammunition, and an undisclosed amount of cash. Officers also seized several illegal casino gaming machines.
Officers safely took four individuals into custody. This is part of an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about this case can contact (510) 238-3728.
