Notice of Issuance of Proposed Regulations Interpreting the Right to Recall Ordinance
(Oakland Municipal Code Section One, Chapter 5.95)
30-Day Public Comment Period
June 23, 2021 to July 23, 2021 5:30 pm
Pursuant to the Oakland Right To Recall Ordinance (passed by City Council on July 21, 2020), the Department of Workplace and Employment Standards proposes to issue the attached Right to Recall Interpretive Regulations. After considering all comments, objections, and recommendations regarding the proposed regulations, they will be published.
The interpretative regulations were released on June 23, 2021, and available on the City’s Website for public review and comments. Please go to: https://www.oaklandca.gov/departments/workplace-employment-standards

30-Day Public Comment Period - Any interested person, or any person’s authorized representative may submit comments relevant to the proposed interpretive regulations to the Department of Workplace and Employment Standards. The 30-day comment period begins on June 23, 2021, and ends at 5:00 p.m., on July 23, 2021. Comments received after the deadline will not be considered.
Authority and Reference: Oakland Municipal Code Section One Chapter 5.95.060 authorizes the City to adopt these proposed regulations.
