The Criminalistics Laboratory welcomes you to celebrate the forensic science profession in honor of National Forensic Science Week by listening to interviews of four staff members, each of whom describe how they became interested in the field and share a little bit about their respective disciplines: Susan Molloy from Drug Analysis describes typical caseload, microscopy and the philosophy of learning about unknowns; Lilliam Lau from Firearms describes the anatomy of a cartridge case and the specific marks that are left by a firearm, Helena Wong from Forensic Biology (DNA) demonstrates swabbing a firearm and Rebecca Coutant from Latent Print shows some fluorescent techniques. A history of the lab is given as well as recent accomplishments.
